An Emblem, Read As Layers
Embroidery reads as a single mark, but it is really a stack of decisions under the thread. Polyester or rayon, how dense the cover, whether the underlay is water-soluble or cut-away. Get a layer wrong and the logo puckers, drifts, or sheds. These are the layers we set before the first needle drops.
Stabiliser Underlay & backing Water-soluble + cut-away
A wash-away underlay sits under the stitch to keep the surface clean on jersey and knit, while a cut-away backing behind the hoop supports stretchy fabric. Get this pair wrong and the logo puckers or pulls — then no density setting fixes it.
Cover Density Stitch density 9–10 SPI
Stitches per inch set the fill. Too loose and the logo ages fast; too dense and the fabric pulls. Density is chosen per garment, not per artwork.
Border & Fill Effect Satin + 3D puff
A satin border frames the edge; foam underlay raises a puff up to 6 mm. Both tested before bulk so the raised edge holds, not flattens.

3D Embroidery
Up to 6 mm foam- Foam underlay lifts the thread off the cloth so the mark casts a shadow
